Aliento’s Youth-Led Initiative Transforms Trauma into Hope and Action

Aliento is an organization dedicated to supporting undocumented students, including those under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and individuals with mixed immigration status families. Their mission revolves around transforming the trauma experienced by this community into hope and action. Aliento is unique in being youth-led and composed of individuals directly impacted by immigration challenges, as well as their allies.

The organization is committed to promoting the well-being, emotional healing, and leadership development of those affected by the inequities associated with lacking a legal immigration status. Through various resources, Aliento strives to empower and uplift individuals in these communities, fostering resilience and creating pathways for positive change. Visit Aliento’s website for a full list of resources available.
