PHOENIX, AZ – On Saturday, WNBA Commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, announced in Las Vegas, host of AT&T WNBA All-Star 2023, the three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will host the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.
The WNBA’s midsummer showcase will be in Phoenix for the third time it’s near three decade history, previously held in 2000 and 2014. WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said, “Having an inaugural WNBA franchise in the Mercury host this two-day celebration is perfect as the basketball world focuses its eyes on the WNBA and today’s greatest stars.”
“As the women’s game continues to grow and reach new heights, we are going to put on an All-Star weekend that will accelerate that growth and elevate the league,” said Phoenix Mercury and Suns owner, Matt Ishbia.
Engelbert made the announcement in Las Vegas, site of AT&T WNBA All-Star 2023.
