GLENDALE, Ariz. – Banner Thunderbird Medical Center will host its fourth annual “Light the Walk” event on Friday, April 25, at 6 p.m., inviting the community to honor organ donors and recipients.
The 1-mile walk will begin and end at the hospital’s main entrance at 5555 W. Thunderbird Rd. in Glendale. The event is open to the public and aims to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation. Following the walk, a light ceremony will pay tribute to those who have given or received the gift of life.
Representatives from Banner Health and the nonprofit Donate Life will be in attendance.
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is part of Banner Health, a nonprofit system with 33 hospitals across six states. The Glendale hospital is a leader in heart care, emergency services, pediatrics and trauma care.
