PHOENIX, AZ – On Tuesday, Phoenix community leaders and professionals came together to mingle with Rep. Greg Stanton.

The “Meet & Greet Congressman Greg Stanton” event was hosted in Central Phoenix by the agency Novle, which brings community activators together. While introducing Staton, Founder & CEO of Novle, Carlos Velasco, described him as a “congressman for the people”.

This was a stop in the congressman’s campaign to bring awareness to the issues he believes are most important not only in his congressional district but to the state of Arizona. Staton delivered a passionate speech addressing issues like immigration, education, water infrastructure, transportation, trade and Proposition 400. He opened up by sharing about his background, family and how he came to be a public servant, where he later closed with an open forum addressing questions from those in attendance. A call to action was also urged by the congressman to continue to fight for issues the state is facing, as politicians and voters enter a rigorous election year.

As the forum came to a close, Staton joked “I chose not to run for governor” so that he can speak directly about these things. On a serious note, he was understanding and empathetic of the water challenges the agricultural community is facing among other challenges the state  currently faces. In closing, Staton shared his appreciation to be heard and made himself available to meet with attendees on-on-one.

Staton represents Arizona’s 4th Congressional District in Maricopa County for the areas of Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, and Ahwatukee Village in Phoenix.
